Connection of the Diagnostic Device

When connecting the diagnostic device (e.g. mega macs X, mega macs S 20 or mega macs PLUS), proceed as follows:

Proceed as follows before startup:

1. Apply the parking brake.

2. Transmission in neutral position.

3. Regard the window with information and instructions.

Danger of short circuit and voltage peaks when connecting the OBD plug

Danger of destruction of automotive electronics

Switch off ignition before connecting the OBD plug to the vehicle.

  1. Plug in the OBD plug in the vehicle's diagnostic connector.
  2. Switch on ignition again after having connected the diagnostic device. NOTICE! All steps and safety-relevant notes for connection and handling of the diagnostic device are written down in the user manual of the prevailing diagnostic device (e.g. mega macs X, mega macs S 20 or mega macs PLUS); they shall be followed accordingly.
