Starting the User-Controlled Positioning

For functional principle and mode description see section User-Controlled Positioning.

Proceed as follows:

1. Start user-controlled positioning
• Select >User-controlled positioning<.
2. Select vehicle
3. The following options are available for the vehicle selection:
4. Add manually:
• Enter all the vehicle data.
• Select >Continue<.
5. Previously selected vehicles:
• Select the vehicle directly from the overview or use the search and filter function.
6. New selection:
• Option 1: Search and select vehicle through VIN or HSN/TSN.
• Option 2: Select vehicle through Manufacturer > Series > Model.
• Select >Continue<.
3. Select calibration type
• Select the sensor.
• Specify the sensor position.
• Select the reason for calibration.
• Confirm with >Continue<.
4. Select reference panel
5. Select the appropriate reference panel with the check box and proceed with >Continue<.
5. Check the required hardware for the selected calibration
6. Check if the indicated hardware is complete and ready for operation and confirm with >Continue<.
6. Attach wheel clamps & 3D panels
• Position the CSC-Tool PRO in front of the vehicle.
• Attach the wheel clamps and 3D panels and level them (see section Attaching the wheel clamps).
7. Select >Continue< if the 3D panels are exactly vertical.
7. Register the position three-dimensionally
8. Move the vehicle forwards and backwards according to the instructions in the Cali-OS, until the three-dimensional position has been captured.
9. Then select >Continue<.
8. Confirm safety precautions
9. Apply the parking brake and confirm with >Applied<.
9. Set reference values
10. Enter the values for target position, distance, height, centering and parallelism in the Cali-OS according to manufacturer's specifications.
11. Optional:
• Save the reference values as presetting.
• Then confirm with >Continue<.
10. Align the CSC-Tool PRO
11. NOTICE! The monitor shall be in standard alignment position. The default setting corresponds to the horizontal alignment of the monitor.
• Align the CSC-Tool PRO centered and parallel in front of the vehicle.

  Position the CSC-Tool PRO in a way that distance, parallelism and centering correspond to the nominal values in the Cali-OS display.

• Operate the left and right brakes with the foot.
• Select >Continue<.
12. Then:
• Adjust the height of the monitor with the lower button in the Cali-OS (push button and keep pushed to adjust the height automatically).
• Select >Continue<.
11. Perform calibration in the diagnostic device
12. The reference panel is automatically indicated on the monitor.
13. Perform the calibration step in the diagnostic device.
14. Optional:
• Add further calibration steps with >Add calibration step<.
• Select >Continue<.
12. Save protocol
13. To save the protocol in the Car History, enter the VIN and kilometer/mileage reading and select >Save<.
14. You can skip this step if necessary.
15. NOTICE! Here the protocol is indicated in the next steps but it is not saved in the Car History.
13. Complete the calibration
14. Select >Completed< to complete the procedure.
15. The calibration protocol is indicated.
16. Optional:
• You can print out the protocol with >Print<:
• Select the protocol content and proceed with >Continue<.
• Enter all the data that shall appear on the protocol printout and confirm with >Continue<.
• or
• Send the protocol with >Send< to the stored e-mail address:
• Select the protocol content and proceed with >Continue<.
• Enter all the data that shall be included in the protocol and confirm with >Send<.
