Starting the User-Controlled Positioning

For functional principle and mode description see section User-Controlled Positioning.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Start user-controlled positioning
  2. Select vehicle
  3. The following options are available for the vehicle selection:
  4. Add manually:
  5. Previously selected vehicles:
  6. New selection:
  7. Select calibration type
  8. Select reference panel
  9. Select the appropriate reference panel with the check box and proceed with >Continue<.
  10. Check the required hardware for the selected calibration
  11. Check if the indicated hardware is complete and ready for operation and confirm with >Continue<.
  12. Attach wheel clamps & 3D panels
  13. Select >Continue< if the 3D panels are exactly vertical.
  14. Register the position three-dimensionally
  15. Move the vehicle forwards and backwards according to the instructions in the Cali-OS, until the three-dimensional position has been captured.
  16. Then select >Continue<.
  17. Confirm safety precautions
  18. Apply the parking brake and confirm with >Applied<.
  19. Set reference values
  20. Enter the values for target position, distance, height, centering and parallelism in the Cali-OS according to manufacturer's specifications.
  21. Optional:
  22. Align the CSC-Tool PRO
  23. NOTICE! The monitor shall be in standard alignment position. The default setting corresponds to the horizontal alignment of the monitor.
  24. Then:
  25. Perform calibration in the diagnostic device
  26. The reference panel is automatically indicated on the monitor.
  27. Perform the calibration step in the diagnostic device.
  28. Optional:
  29. Save protocol
  30. To save the protocol in the Car History, enter the VIN and kilometer/mileage reading and select >Save<.
  31. You can skip this step if necessary.
  32. NOTICE! Here the protocol is indicated in the next steps but it is not saved in the Car History.
  33. Complete the calibration
  34. Select >Completed< to complete the procedure.
  35. The calibration protocol is indicated.
