Pair the VCI

The VCI is a regular feature of the mega macs PRO.

For communication with the vehicle, the mega macs PRO must be connected to a VCI.

Proceed as follows to connect the VCI with the display unit:

1. Ensure power supply to the VCI

There are 2 options for that:

A: USB interface of PC/tablet (exclusively use the enclosed USB cable for the connection!)

B: Diagnostic connection in the vehicle

Only connect the the OBD plug to the vehicle when the ignition is switched off. Then switch on the ignition again so that the VCI has power supply.

Check the operational readiness of the VCI using the LED light (see section Meaning of the LED status display of the VCI).

2. Establish connection

  1. Start the mega macs PRO.
  2. For this, search for available devices in the connection settings in the display unit.
  3. A list indicates all connected VCI automatically.
  4. Select the requested VCI.
  5. Compare the displayed VCI device number with the VCI type plate.
  6. NOTICE! The displayed VCI device number corresponds to the number on the VCI type plate.
  7. Select >Pair<.
  1. Now the mega macs PRO connected to the VCI via Bluetooth® connection.
