Start Guided Calibration
For functional principle and mode description see section Guided Calibration.
Proceed as follows:

Remote control
The diagnostic device is remote-controlled by the CSC-Tool PRO. The diagnostic device finishes the remote control automatically after the completion of the diagnostic or calibration procedure of the CSC-Tool PRO.
- Connection of the diagnostic device
- Connect the diagnostic device (e.g. mega macs X, mega macs S 20 or mega macs PLUS) to the vehicle (see section Connection of the Diagnostic Device).
- Start of guided calibration

- Select >Guided calibration<.
- All available diagnostic devices are indicated.
- Select the requested device and select >Connect<.
- Select >Continue< after successful connection.
- Select vehicle
- The following options are available for the vehicle selection:
- New selection:
- Option 1: Automatic vehicle selection through VIN readout with the help of the connected diagnostic device
- Option 2: Search and select vehicle manually through VIN or HSN/TSN
- Option 3: Select vehicle through Manufacturer > Series > Model > Suspension.
- Previously selected vehicles:
- Select the vehicle directly from the overview or use the search and filter function.
- Suspension selection:
- Select the suspension for newly selected vehicles and vehicles processed last.
- Select >Continue<.
- Optional: Do a trouble code request
- Options:
- Select >Skip<
- or
- Select >Execute<
- When having selected >Execute<:
- The trouble codes of the vehicle are read out and displayed on the left of the Cali-OS.
- The list contains all existing trouble codes with status.
- A trouble code can be touched to indicate detailed information (description, potential causes, diagnostic notes).
- Single faults or all faults can be deleted with
. - When required you can repeat the trouble code request with >Repeat trouble code request<.
- Select calibration type
- Select the calibration type and proceed with >Continue<.
- Check the required hardware for the selected calibration
- Check if the indicated hardware is complete and ready for operation and confirm with >Continue<.
- Select reason for calibration
- Select the applicable reason and confirm with >Continue<.
- Confirm preconditions
- Check the preconditions indicated in the Cali-OS by using the checklist.
- Confirm fulfilled points by activating the check boxes and select >Continue<.
- Measure height of wheel arch edges
- Measurement can be done with the following methods:
- Measurement with Bluetooth laser distance meter:
- >Select measurement device<
- Switch on the laser distance meter.
- Select the device from the list > Connect > and close the window with >Back<.
- Determine the measurement point: Measure from highest point of wheel arch edge to the floor.
- Start measurement: Briefly push >DIST< on the laser distance meter, then push briefly >DIST< again.
- Measurement is saved.
- The value is instantly indicated on the screen.
- Repeat the procedure for all four wheels.
- Select >Continue< after having completed the measurement.
- Manual measurement:
- Measure the height of the wheel arch edges.
- Enter the measured values in the Cali-OS.
- Select >Continue< after having completed the measurement.
- Attach wheel clamps & 3D panels
- Position the CSC-Tool PRO in front of the vehicle.
- Attach the wheel clamps and 3D panels and level them (see section Attaching the wheel clamps).
- Select >Continue< if the 3D panels are exactly vertical.
- Register the position three-dimensionally
- Move the vehicle forwards and backwards according to the instructions in the Cali-OS, until the three-dimensional position has been captured.
- If the 3D panels are captured successfully, select >Continue<.
- Confirm safety precautions
- Apply the parking brake and confirm with >Applied<.
- Align the CSC-Tool PRO
- Align the CSC-Tool PRO centered and parallel in front of the vehicle.
NOTICE

Position the CSC-Tool PRO in a way that distance, parallelism and centering correspond to the nominal values in the Cali-OS display.
- Operate the left and right brakes with the foot.
- Select >Continue<.
- Then:
- Adjust the height of the monitor with the lower button in the Cali-OS (push button and keep pushed to adjust the height automatically).
- Select >Continue<.
- Perform calibration
- The reference panel is automatically indicated on the monitor.
- Start the calibration with >Continue<.
- The results are indicated after successful completion of the process.
- Proceed with >Continue<.
- Optional: Perform a second trouble code request.
- You can perform another trouble code request (>Execute< or >Skip<).
- Save protocol
- To save the protocol in the Car History, enter the VIN and kilometer/mileage reading and select >Save<.
- You can skip this step if necessary.
- Complete the calibration
- Select >Completed< to complete the procedure.
- The calibration protocol is indicated.
- Optional:
- You can print out the protocol with >Print<:
- Select the protocol content and proceed with >Continue<.
- Enter all the data that shall appear on the protocol printout and confirm with >Continue<.
- or
- Send the protocol with >Send< to the stored e-mail address:
- Select the protocol content and proceed with >Continue<.
- Enter all the data that shall be included in the protocol and confirm with >Send<.
