Start Guided Calibration

Proceed as follows:

Remote control

The diagnostic device is remote-controlled by the CSC-Tool PRO. The diagnostic device finishes the remote control automatically after the completion of the diagnostic or calibration procedure of the CSC-Tool PRO.

  1. Connection of the diagnostic device
  2. Connect the diagnostic device (e.g. mega macs X, mega macs S 20 or mega macs PLUS) to the vehicle (see section Connection of the Diagnostic Device).
  3. NOTICE! All steps and safety-relevant notes for connection and handling of the diagnostic device are written down in the user manual of the prevailing diagnostic device (e.g. mega macs X, mega macs S 20 or mega macs PLUS); they shall be followed accordingly.
  4. Start of guided calibration
  5. Select vehicle
  6. The following options are available for the vehicle selection:
  7. New selection:
  8. Previously selected vehicles:
  9. Suspension selection:
  10. Optional: Do a trouble code request
  11. Options:
  12. or
  13. When having selected >Execute<:
  14. The trouble codes of the vehicle are read out and displayed on the left of the Cali-OS.
  15. Select calibration type
  16. Select the calibration type and proceed with >Continue<. NOTICE! The CSC-Tool PRO controls the connected diagnostic device. If needed make entries directly in the diagnostic device.
  17. Check the required hardware for the selected calibration
  18. Check if the indicated hardware is complete and ready for operation and confirm with >Continue<.
  19. Select reason for calibration
  20. Select the applicable reason and confirm with >Continue<.
  21. Confirm preconditions
  22. Check the preconditions indicated in the Cali-OS by using the checklist.
  23. Confirm fulfilled points by activating the check boxes and select >Continue<.
  24. Measure height of wheel arch edges
  25. Measurement can be done with the following methods:
  26. Measurement with Bluetooth laser distance meter:
  27. Select >Continue< after having completed the measurement.
  28. Manual measurement:
  29. Select >Continue< after having completed the measurement.
  30. Attach wheel clamps & 3D panels
  31. Select >Continue< if the 3D panels are exactly vertical.
  32. Register the position three-dimensionally
  33. Move the vehicle forwards and backwards according to the instructions in the Cali-OS, until the three-dimensional position has been captured.
  34. If the 3D panels are captured successfully, select >Continue<.
  35. Confirm safety precautions
  36. Apply the parking brake and confirm with >Applied<.
  37. Align the CSC-Tool PRO
  38. NOTICE! The monitor shall be in standard alignment position. The default setting corresponds to the horizontal alignment of the monitor.
  39. Then:
  40. Perform calibration
  41. The reference panel is automatically indicated on the monitor.
  42. Start the calibration with >Continue<.
  43. NOTICE! Calibration is in progress. Please follow the instructions in the diagnostic device.
  44. The results are indicated after successful completion of the process.
  45. Proceed with >Continue<.
  46. Optional: Perform a second trouble code request.
  47. You can perform another trouble code request (>Execute< or >Skip<).
  48. Save protocol
  49. To save the protocol in the Car History, enter the VIN and kilometer/mileage reading and select >Save<.
  50. You can skip this step if necessary.
  51. NOTICE! Here the protocol is indicated in the next steps but it is not saved in the Car History.
  52. Complete the calibration
  53. Select >Completed< to complete the procedure.
  54. The calibration protocol is indicated.
